Winona Ryder Overdosed On…. ?!

As you may have heard, Winona Ryder was rushed to hospital last night after being taken ill on a flight from Los Angeles to London – and it’s now been reported that she overdosed on tranquilizers. Apparently Winona accidentally took too many Xanax pills, as she has a fear of flying. The plane was given a priority landing after the crew reported that Winona had been taken ill and, on arriving at Heathrow, she was rushed to hospital in nearby Hillingdon, west London, but has now been discharged. “She did fall ill on a plane and as a precautionary measure they took her to hospital,” confirmed her spokeswoman. “She was there for an hour. She’s in good health. There’s no drama.” Winona has since caught another flight to Europe, but hopefully she stayed awake for this one…

First, Xanax has been shown by research to make fear of flying worse. Fearful fliers who took Xanax and placebo did better with the placebo. There is a reason for this. The mind needs to be sharp so that when one imagines something is wrong, it is important to recognize whether that is imagination or something accurate.
