Katy Perry and her Gym Class Heroes beau Travis McCoy have split after a year of dating, a source close to Perry confirmed to Usmagazine.com Friday.

“It’s sad, but they were fighting a lot because they never saw each other and now she is going on tour,” the source told Us. “She just needed a clear head. It’s been non-stop work for her.”

“We fight every night, now that’s not kosher. I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer. And wake up to be greeted by an argument again, You act like you’re 10…My friends always tell me how I’m lucky to possess the best looking girl in the whole U.S….it seems like just two years back when we were bonded and not pierced, but now I keep itchin’ to jet,” he wrote.

In December, Perry — who gained worldwide fame in 2008 with her hit “I Kissed a Girl” — told Us they weren’t planning a walk down the aisle any time soon.

Coldplay have split up “six or seven” times while on their current tour.

When the British rock group - frontman Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion - perform badly they often argue and threaten to go their separate ways, but always end up apologising to each other.

Chris said: “We have split up on this tour. Every time we do, we get back together about 20 minutes later - we don’t even have time to announce it! It’s probably happened six or seven times.

The 31-year-old singer is usually the one who suggests the foursome break-up, because he doesn’t take criticism well.

Chris - whose group have sold over 40 million albums worldwide - added to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “To be honest, whenever we have any bad news, I always quit for about 10 minutes. I get depressed about something - a concert didn’t go well or that person said something terrible. But then the rest of the band will say, ‘It’s OK, we’ll carry on.’ “

On not understanding the continued public interest in her break-up with Brad Pitt: “I’m baffled by it and it makes no sense to me…. Everybody goes through tough times… You’ve just got to figure out how to get through them… It’s my history and my memory. I used to really take things personally. It took me some time to figure this out but if you can be truthful and honest with who you are, then you have a much easier time walking through life.”

On her finances: “I don’t wake up in the morning, stretch my arms and say, ‘Oh, I’m wealthy.’ I just know I’m extremely fortunate and I have the good fortune to take care of my family, to give to causes that matter to me and to contribute in ways not everybody can. I’ve never been someone to have money as my goal. I just wanted to work.”

On having her own kids some day: “I feel it’s in my future and I’m on the verge of it in some way, so it was great to dip the toe in [for Marley & Me]. I want to have children. That’s my plan.”

Amy Winehouse has declared her marriage to recently-freed husband Blake Fielder-Civil is over after realising their relationship had no future.

Fielder-Civil was released from prison earlier this month (Nov08) after serving almost a year behind bars in relation to an attack on a pub landlord.

As part of his early release deal, he checked into a rehabilitation facility in Surrey, south east England - but Winehouse has still yet to visit her husband, fuelling rumours their union is in trouble.

Benji Madden is feeling “fine” after his break-up with Paris Hilton, according to twin brother and Good Charlotte band mate Joel. The couple announced their nine-month relationship had come to an end on Wednesday, and Hilton confirmed the pair were “taking a break” from each other.

But despite the split Madden is coping well, according to his twin.

He tells Access Hollywood, “He’s a good guy and he’ll be fine and she’ll be fine. They’ll both be fine. I don’t think at the end of the day anyone reading it was like ‘Oh my gosh! What is he gonna do?’ or ‘What is she gonna do?’ Everyone was kind of like, ‘Oh.’ I think that Benj - he does his best, when he is with someone, to adapt to what they’re into or whatever… He’s down though, he doesn’t care, he doesn’t judge. He accepts anything.”

Simon Cowell and longtime girlfriend Terri Seymour have split, Cowell’s rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The couple were together for six years. Seymour, 34, first met Cowell, 48, when she was 18, but the couple didn’t begin dating until she interviewed him for a show in 2002.

The main reason of a split was because  Terri has said that she wants kids but Simon wasn’t in to that.

Nobody else is yet involved for now, said the source.

Guy Ritchie’s mother claims the director knew this marriage with Madonna would end bitterly before they even wed.

Lady Amber Leighton - Guy’s mother - has reportedly blasted the singer, saying she also feared the relationship wouldn’t last.

Lady Amber is quoted by Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper as telling a friend: “Guy chose to take this route, he knew what he was doing when he married her and got involved with that end of the market. He knew when he got into this relationship it was the price he would have to pay.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are set to divorce.

The couple are set to imminently announce they are separating, and reportedly want their divorce to be finalised by Christmas - which would be their eighth wedding anniversary.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “It’s very sad. They were a great couple and brilliant parents. They just couldn’t live together any more.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal’s oatmeal-esque relationship is hitting the rocks. While Jake is tied up filming the adaptation of the Prince of Persia video game, the long distance relationship isn’t going well with Reese who should, seriously, try to work things out.
