German car manufacturer Porsche has become the majority owner of the automobile company Volkswagen.

The German manufacturer of luxury sports cars has acquired 50.76 percent of Volkswagen’s shares. Takeover for Porshe, it is planned well for the last year, but their plans because of the price of the shares VW postponed. Previously, it was the result of speculation, the share is worth more than 1000 euros, on Monday, however, its price stabilized at 254.74 euro.

They want more
Porsche, however, does not intend to stop this – this year it intends to become a 75-percent owner of VW and to gain complete control over corporations. VW in 2007 created a 109 billion euros of revenues, while alone in the business year 2006/2007 recorded seven billion euros of revenue.

Scania is not interesting
For the sake of majority ownership in VW will have Porsche now under Swedish law to make the take-over bid for the truck manufacturer Scania, in which the dominant shareholder in VW. However, in Porscheju say they will Scanio offer only the minimum price because it does not have a strategic interest.
